Mixing head

The high pressure mixing head has two cylindrical chambers forming the renowned ‘L chamber’ system. The mixing chamber, where two injectors spray the two components at high speed and mix them, and an outflow chamber, through which the polyurethane is discharged into the mould during the reaction phase.

Product recirculation phase: After the dispensing step, the two chambers close, expelling any product remaining inside them and the component recirculation phase starts. During the recirculation phase, the material is conveyed through grooves

Self-cleaning phase: the use of the two chambers and the self-cleaning rod ensure the mixing head can be cleaned without having to use chemical solvents. An innovative forced lubrication system prevents any blockages on the machine.

Type of injection: either open or closed moulds.

Thermostatic control on components: there is a cavity between the outer and inner surfaces of the tank with a liquid used to cool the chemical flowing through them and heating elements to heat it.

Hydraulic control unit located on the machine’s frame with: solenoid valves, accumulator, differential pressure switch, extraction filter, a pressure gauge to measure the operating pressure and a pressure relief valve.

Dosing unit

Based on the type of foaming machine, the types of pumps chosen to form the dosing unit may be gear or piston pumps with a fixed or variable flow rate. The pumps convey the ISO and POL components to the injection heads via the high pressure pipes.
